Jjam
Full Meta App Approval for a Creator-Focused Platform to Collect, Organize, and Publish Content on Instagram & Facebook

Overview
Jjam is a powerful media and content management platform designed for creators, marketers, and teams. It streamlines the process of collecting user-generated content, organizing media with smart tagging, and publishing across Instagram and Facebook — all in one place. With AI features like Smart Drafts and Auto Captioning, Jjam helps users save time and increase engagement. Creators can connect their Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts to publish posts, analyze performance, and manage content libraries with ease. Jjam also includes a mobile companion app and a customizable "Link in Bio" feature, making it an essential tool for content-first brands. Like many creator tools, Jjam encountered challenges during Meta's App Review process due to missing screencasts, vague permission explanations, and test credential issues. We stepped in to clarify use cases, prepare compliant materials, and guide the platform through to full Meta approval.

Challenge & Solution
The Challenge
Missing Screencast Coverage: The original screencast skipped over publishing features and insights usage. Vague Permission Justification: Reviewers couldn't map Meta permissions to actual features like content publishing or analytics. No Valid Instagram Test Account: Test credentials for Instagram Business were either missing or invalid during initial submissions. Unclear Handling of Pages: The connection between Facebook Pages and publishing workflows was not explained in the submission notes.
The Solution
We executed a full review remediation plan:
Screencast Overhaul
Recorded clean, annotated screencasts showing login flow, post creation, scheduling, and analytics usage for both Facebook and Instagram.
Test Account Setup
Created a new Instagram Business test account with verified credentials and backup codes. Linked it to a Facebook Page and a Meta Business Manager.
Permission Mapping Guide
Mapped each requested permission to in-app functionality with supporting screenshots and links. For example: instagram_content_publish → Used in the Instagram scheduler; pages_manage_posts → Used in the post publisher for Facebook Pages; read_insights / instagram_manage_insights → Used in the analytics dashboard.
"Link in Bio" Use Case Clarification
Explained how "Link in Bio" pages dynamically use post-level metadata to generate preview cards.
Companion App Justification
Added note on the mobile app using the same backend endpoints and permission scopes, aligned with approved platform use.
